The standard brake disc with increased corrosion protection!

 

  • On top of our usual product quality standards (product precision, surface hardness, and material composition [the ratio of materials like carbon and silicon]), we applied the DIXCEL anti-corrosion standard.

  • All of our brake discs come with anti-corrosion coating, something other manufacturers and OEM suppliers were not able to do, at a reasonable price. (Except on some truck applications)

  • In terms of precision, we set a strict manufacturing standard which helped us achieve reductions in both noise level and vibrations.

  • Improvements in durability, crack resistance and heat resistance were achieved by using a precise mixture of additives in the disc material.

  • Available for a wide range of vehicles

  • Simulated testing of both the SD and PD discs in the same conditions show a increase of brake performance by up to 20%.

  • After careful consideration of various factors such as pad wear, noise level, and gas ventilation, 6 slots was adopted as a standard for SD brake discs.

  • The best width, angle, and depth of the slots were chosen using the data from various races and road tests.

  • For the 6 slot brake discs, reverse rotation (slots pointing forward) is recommended for a better brake performance.

  • By offsetting the slots on the inner and outer side of the disc, an improvement in brake modulation was achieved.

HD TYPE - HEAT TREATED PLAIN DISK

  • The heat treatment stabilizes the bonds between the elements in the structure of the cast iron. This prevents disc distortion and strain which is common immediately after installing new discs.

  • The treatment also optimizes the surface hardness, which improves brake response.

  • Higher performance can be achieved by using the HD discs along with the Z type or R series pads.

  • We recommend this disc for advanced drivers who require/want more braking stability.
     

※The heat treatment does not directly improve brake performance. The heat treatment increases the disc resistance against strains and thermal cracking. It also helps maintain stable brake performance for a extended period of time.

 

※The surface of the heat treated brake discs has a burnt colour. Once it is used, the burnt surface will be removed by the pad, and changes back to the colour of normal cast iron.  Please be aware that the effect of the heat treatment of the disc will not disappear even if the surface colour changes.

HS TYPE - HEAT TREATED SLOTTED DISK

  • The fusion of high stability and high braking performance.

The high level fusion of stability and brake performance.
 

  • HS type is the high end model by DIXCEL, which demonstrates high performance in all situations from the streets to the race circuit.

  • DIXCEL combined the benefits of both the heat treatment (stability) and slots (brake performance) to create a superior brake disc, the HS type.

  • On the streets, the slots makes it possible to achieve high levels of friction even at low temperatures. At the race circuit, high level of friction can be achieved along with high stability for an extended amount of time with the heat treatment.

  • The 6 slots brake disc is adopted as standard in the HS type by considering various factors, such as pad wear, squeal and the removal effect of gas at the fading.

※The heat treatment does not directly improve brake performance. The heat treatment increases the disc resistance against strains and thermal cracking. It also helps maintain stable brake performance for a extended period of time.
